In their little story they live under a war in their home island, Murinetopia, where their home city, Madison Cheddar, is invaded by an corrupted King over on the otherside of the island, Casu Marzu City. Some say the poor rodents who are captured by the Cheddar soldiers were now forced to work under the king himself. Doing all his bidding in making more cheese for the wealthy rats.
That’s why Savannah and Small Gear live underground like most rodents to hide from the chaos, hoping to live out their days unharmed. However, once and awhile they have to get out of their bunker to find useful scraps and junk to sustain their living.
Though Savannah knows the world is scary and confusing for Small Gear, she always tells him that everything is going to be okay. Being an optimistic and confident role model for Geary to look up to.
